Tune in tonight to Pirate Cat Radio to hear us interviewed live in-studio. The interview is set to start around 9:45pm Pacific time. You can listen by live stream OR by setting your radio dial old-school style to 87.9fm if you live in San Francisco.

Anyone in the area is also welcome to come hang and watch in the station's studio at 2781 21st Street (corner of 21st and Florida) in SF.

First of all, we would like to express our deep appreciation for everyone's comments and kind words following the recent news. THANK YOU so much to everyone who responded with fond memories and kind words in reaction to our recent announcement. It truly means a lot to read your feedback.

As announced, the final Overview show will be at Bottom of the Hill on 8/8. Please leave any song requests in the comments, as this will be your last chance to hear them. Also, if you set our show flier as your default image on Myspace we'll put you in our top friends, just send us a message!

This is not the end for us as musicians, it is merely the end of Overview. Currently, we are each working diligently on something more profound than could have ever been with Overview, and we are happy to have this opportunity to celebrate Overview and give it a proper send-off. That being said, if you have ever been a fan of our music, we hope you will celebrate with us at the show, and we hope you'll stay tuned for more news regarding the future as it unfolds.

Finally, we will be giving away THREE FREE TICKETS to the show! Here is how you can earn one:

1. Post a Facebook status update and/or Myspace bulletin about the show. You should include the info that it is Overview's final show at Bottom of the Hill on Aug 8, and the myspace address myspace.com/overview. Besides that, you can say whatever you like about it.

2. Send a screenshot clearly showing that your post has been made to neal@overviewband.net by Weds August 5. (To take a screenshot, PC users press "Print Screen", open Paint, go to Edit>Paste and save. Mac users press Apple+Shift+3 and your screenshot will save to the desktop.)

On August 6, three submissions will be chosen at random to receive a free ticket to the show! If you post a Facebook status update AND a Myspace bulletin, we will count those as two separate entries!

Overview, Over

To everyone who has supported Overview over the years, whether you have bought a cd, come to a show, given us a place to stay, shared a stage, or taken the time to listen to a song... Thank You.

As of August 8th, Overview as you know it will come to an end. We have spent many years on this project and are proud of what we have achieved,
but after many recent changes, both musically and personally, Overview will be done. We will continue to play music together into the future and are very excited about what is soon to come.

For now, we invite everyone to join us August 8th at Bottom of the Hill to celebrate and listen to Overview one last time. We'll be taking song requests, and we invite you to post yours here in the comments. Looking forward to seeing you there!

It's been a while since you've heard much of anything from us, so here's an update for everyone.

There may be some various California show dates in the fall, so keep your eyes pealed for that. Everywhere else will have to wait a bit longer, sorry.

On Friday we finished mixing a holiday song we recorded with our friend Paul over at Talking House Records (http://www.threcords.com/). It will appear on compilation of San Francisco rock bands doing Christmas tunes called A Foggy Holiday. Look out for that in November.

In other news, Overview has not been dead. Overview has been a living, breathing entity. Locked into a studio, working like mad scientists. We are concocting new sounds and new ideas for you all to hear when we finally emerge. We are more excited about the music we are writing right now than anything we've written in the past several years. We can't wait to show you.

But now is still not the time. We are inspired. We are writing every day. We are perfecting every day. When we choose to let you hear our work, you will be the first to know.
